In a recent interview, Bentley CEO Wolfgang Durheimer confirmed plans to launch a Continental GT2.
Essentially a Supersports on steroids, the model will reportedly weigh 2,200 kg (4,850 lbs) and feature a 650 hp (485 kW / 659 PS) engine. It remains unclear if it will be the twin-turbo V8 or the current W12, but the GT2 is expected to accelerate from 0-60 in less than four seconds and hit a top speed in excess of 200 mph (322 km/h). Furthermore, Auto Express says the special edition will have rear-wheel drive which would be a first for the Continental lineup.
There's no word on when it will be introduced, but the GT2 will likely debut after the Continental GT Speed hits the market.
