After weeks of anticipation, Prince William and his wife, Catherine – the duke and duchess of Cambridge –- are scheduled are scheduled to arrive in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon, kicking off a whirlwind weekend tour of Southern California.
The newylweds will arrive at Los Angeles International Airport in the late afternoon, where they will be greeted by California Gov. Jerry Brown and his wife, Anne Gust Brown; Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa; and the British ambassador to the United States, Sir Nigel Sheinwald.
Following their arrival, the young royals will go directly to a conference supporting UK trade and investment, where they will hear a presentation from technologists and meet with delegates from the event.
