A Victorian man accused of possessing bomb-making equipment bought from the auction website eBay is taking anti-depressant medication and may harm himself in custody, his lawyer says.
Phillip John Marsh, 35, appeared in the Bendigo Magistrates' Court on Wednesday charged with recklessly endangering life, reckless conduct endangering serious injury and four charges of possessing explosive substances.
Police allege Marsh had explosive chemicals, charcoal, 50 detonators and detonator cord at his Etty Street home in Castlemaine when they searched the central Victorian premises on Tuesday morning.
